Her name is Lammily and she is normal, shapely and healthy. Like the general population Lammily has to work on staying fit and healthy. In fact, the creator looked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) stats to find out some general measurements for a girl in her late teens.
So TourDeFIT.com wanted to find out more about the innovative creator, Nickolay Lamm and how he got started. Check out who he wants playing the role of Lammily when she gets to the big screen, who his female mentor is, what he does to keep fit and more.
TDF. What was/is the best part of this process/journey?
Nickolay. The whole journey to create Lammily was the best part. It was a very long, but fun process. What surprised me the most was that I was able to organize this whole crowd-funding project just from my laptop. I’m just a dude with a laptop.
TDF. Who is your female role model? Why?
Nickolay. My mom. She raised me and my brother as a single mom.
TDF. If an actress were to play the role of Lammily, who would it be? Why?
Nickolay. Perhaps someone like Demi Lovato because she liked one of my first body image projects.

TDF - It seems that Nickolay Lamm may be spot in matching Lammily’s natural looks to Demi Lovato who recently told Cosmopolitan Latinas that she at her best in “T-shirt, jeans, my leather jacket, and no makeup!”

TDF. What’s next and will there be male counterpart and diversity?
Nickolay. My plan is for there to be cool new clothes and dolls of different ethnicity, as well as a male dolls.
TDF. What do you do personally to stay fit and well?
Nickolay. I just run a lot and play hockey. I love to run because it feels so freeing. I like running in random places so that my runs are like little adventures.
TDF. Does being fit impact your personal leadership, creativity, energy etc….If yes, how?
Nickolay. Working all day can get really draining. Running makes me feel more energetic and relaxes me.
TDF. What’s on your fitness bucket list?
Nickolay. I would like to run a marathon. The most I’ve ever run by myself is 12 or so miles.
TDF. Favorite song/music to exercise to?
Nickolay. I like running without music, it gives me time to explore the world around me. I like observing and thinking about random things as I run.
TDF. Who do you admire that you would like to meet in person and why? (entrepreneur, business leader, celebrity, politician, etc…)
Nickolay. I like Lorde. She’s not afraid to have an unpolished image. She seems very genuine.
TDF. Billboard called New Zealand star the “Queen of Alternative”, so perhaps we can call Nickolay the King of Alternative. After all this talented young man is also an artist; a digital artist and marketer. He majored in Marketing at the University of Pittsburgh and his creative passion for honest marketing and innovation helped him create Lammily.
TDF. What would you love people to know about you?
Nickolay. I’m just a dude with a laptop. I feel that when we try to do something that seems impossible, we overcomplicate in our heads what needs to happen to get to the goal and never do it. Things are often simpler than they seem: go for it.
TDF. We are predicting that Lammily is going to be the hottest Christmas gift in 2014! Perhaps she’s not so average afterall.
